With a diverse background in journalism in several formats and using several techniques in content creation and networking, I can help anyone establish themselves as an expert in their industry.

But before I go into more of the impressive resume-y stuff, here's a story from my personal blog that will help you get to know me better -- this journey has definitely not been all wine 'n roses, peeps...

Feeling empowered? Good -- that's what I'm here for :). On to more professional background: Coming off a year-long stint as an editor of contributed content at Entrepreneur.com, I left a full-time job as a publicist in mid-2017 to do my own thing.

Starting in mid-2014, I produced nightly news segments covering Connecticut and Long Island for WPKN 89.5 FM. As a publication manager for Hibu (formerly known as Yellowbook), I produced seven monthly magazines on Long Island -- Westhampton Life, Southampton Life, Riverhead Life, Port Jefferson Life, Stony Brook Life, Manorville Life, and Mount Sinai-Miller Place Life. Much of the content was written by community members -- fun, informative pieces about local people, events, and trends.

My cat was impressed by my hibu community magazine cover.

At NorthFork.Patch.com, I spent nearly three years building up and maintaining a cutting-edge, interactive community website backed by AOL.com. I was not only the editor of North Fork Patch — I was the main writer, photographer, videographer, and voice out there every day representing a unique community located just over an hour from New York City on Long Island.

Here I am, flying over Plum Island as the local-editor-consultant for a Discovery Channel special.

For two years before that, I was a staff writer at the Times/Review Newspapers in Mattituck. I consistently dug up in-depth stories for the towns of Southold and Riverhead and often took my own pictures and video.

In May of 2008, I received my MS from Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism. Before that, I was a freelance writer while pursuing a career in music back in Michigan, where I'm from. For well over a decade, I have written for multiple audiences in all sorts of fast-paced environments first as a freelancer, a graduate student, full-time reporter, editor / producer, and now a facilitator to ultimate business authority.

This is me, all fired up on Lake Michigan near my hometown. Let's do this, people!
